Synopsis

There’s an old saying that you can’t manage what you don’t measure.  Add to that the question of why do you supply your employees with a benefits program in the first place?  In today’s challenging economy, providing the most cost-effective, yet comprehensive benefits program, can lead to a more secure, satisfied and productive workforce.  Knowing what your competitors provide their employees with is invaluable information.

This session will reveal some of the results of the largest national health plan and opinion surveys conducted in the U.S. today.  With responses from 17,655 health plans sponsored by 12,316 employers nationwide, the 2009 UBA Health Plan Survey, along with its companion opinion survey - 2009 UBA Employer Benefit Perspectives, are the nation’s largest and most comprehensive surveys of plan design, plan costs, and forward-looking opinions.  As the largest survey of its kind, the UBA Health Plan Survey defines benchmarks by a greater number of specific industries, regions, and employer size categories than is available from any other resource.
